ABOUT US

The first VCR I ever bought was a Sylvania VHS top loader that was wedding gift for my sister back in 1985, on the condition that I could use it for the month or so before giving it to her. It cost $750 and blank tapes were $6 for cheap generics. As promised, I gave her the deck as a gift but by then I was hooked on video and went right out and bought another one and have been a video junkie ever since.

When I finished my service in the US Army I went back home and shortly after began to work at Noahs Ark in Corning NY in 1988. It was one of the very last "mom & pop" Sony dealerships in the country. I performed many tasks there such as renting the videos, (would you like that in VHS or Beta? - we were a Beta stronghold) doing VCR cleaning and small repairs, selling the "new" Sony 8mm video format, (and being wowed by ED-Beta). I also was called on to be a camera operator at various functions in town, everything from the wedding chapel to the board room.

After relocating to Cincinnati in 1993 I began to resume my hobby in 1996 and after meeting some local members of the area videography community in 2001 I began to freelance for other firms in the area and learned quite a bit about different styles and techniques. Both as a videographer and a business operator and I have used the collective experience to go out on my own in 2003 under the name of Midwest EXP Video. I have continued to freelance over the years as well as produce many of my own productions.

I have been broadcast nationally with two different segments I taped for The Montel Williams Show. I have also had some of my live concert video work appear on a national music television channel in Portugal. I have done freelance work for area Fortune 500 companies as well as the bride with the $500 budget. I do high quality and tasteful work at a fair price and can work within many budgets.

I have always tried to stay on the edge of the new video formats and was an early adopter of the DVD format in 2001. Today in 2008 my goal is to be the most EXPerienced High Definition videographer in the Tri-state area. While other videographers are listing extremely high prices and not booking HD wedding packages, I am offering a fantastic offer in an effort to build a large catalog of HD productions in 2008, and doing so by booking wedding jobs at huge discounts to fill in my remaining available dates. HD doesn't have to be expensive. It just doesn't.....
